The Poppy Farm Fair

Saturday I spent my day among the native plants at Native Plant Revival.  People drifted in and out of the gardens and through the small craft fair, to the sounds of some fun and interesting music.

My friends at Jedzebel lent me their canopy, and I hung a make-shift changing station out of sheets.  I brought my old duct-tape dress form, and she modeled one of my new cotton sheet dresses.

I met Ashley of Heirloom, who makes art and beautiful dresses.  She traveled through India, learning about textiles and local techniques.  Her dresses are absolutely beautiful and her fabrics are organic and fairly sourced.  We traded dress for dress, and I picked out this one, which has beautiful pin tucks and hand-made fabric buttons.

Ashley and I will both be participating at the next Poppy Farm event in San Jose on December 2nd

In other news, two of my dresses were in the front window of Wallflower Boutique this week ❤

If I’d seen this first before I ran into you yesterday, I would have known the answer to some of my questions! Just wanted to say that I had already noticed that lion print dress on my way to work the other morning. Great dress for the right person. Probably a Leo…
