I am always thirsty, and have made it a habit to carry water around with me wherever I go. I do get picky about my water, though, and the things that might be growing in the bottle after a few weeks of carrying around all that wet stuff. That’s why I like to wash my bottles with a natural cleanser that I can make myself from ingredients I have lying around the house. This recipe is also great for any tough stains on dishes; tea stains, red wine, etc…
Into a water bottle I will pour:
❤ 4 spoonfuls of baking soda
❤ 6 spoonfuls of vinegar
❤ Juice from 1/2 of a citrus
❤ 2 drops of castille or dish soap
❤ A few drops of tea tree oil or grapefruit seed extract (either of these is sure zap scary bacteria)
Then I put the top on the bottle and shake it around a few times, making sure to open the bottle to relieve pressure every couple of shakes. If there are some stubborn stains, I pour my mixture in a big pot and let my bottles soak for a few hours.
This recipe is also great for cleaning your sink; just pour these ingredients in with your dishwater and your sink should sparkle like a diamond! Happy washing!
